Marble Quarry. 2 days

Our trip is dedicated to one of the pearls of Karelia — Ruskeal Marble Canyon.

The length of the quarry from north to south is 460 meters, width — from 50 to 100 meters. The distance from the highest point of the side of the quarry to its bottom is over 50 meters.

During our two-day stay in Karelia, we will dive into the quarry, as well as explore local attractions — a waterfall, a dam and an old abandoned power station .


Day 1. Friday. Departure from St. Petersburg. Arrival in the Asilan to our base. Dinner, staying overnight.

Day 2. Saturday. Wake up at 7 am. General meeting  at 8 am, departure to Rusceala. Arrival at the quarry at 10.30. General briefing, preparation of equipment.

First dive, tea-break, rest, second dive. Lunch after the second dive. Walking around the quarry. Overview of local Attractions (optional) — Tohmajoki River, Akhvensky Waterfalls, destroyed Finnish Power Station, dam. Return to Asilan. Dinner. Banya!

Day 3. Sunday.

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour in the local museum of local lore. Walk along the forest paths up the mountain. Boat trip on Ladoga (extra charge)

Return to St. Petersburg.

ATTENTION: The indicated Program may vary depending on weather conditions and the  participants. The final version will be provided during the briefing at the hotel.
