Mini-safari Wrecks and Walls

Our mini-safari is dedicated to wrecks in the northern part of Lake Ladoga. You will meet with history and real artifacts still lying at the bottom. Diving will take place both on wrecks and along granite walls that extend tens of meters in depth and will vary depending on the composition of the team.

The main dive sites available for diving.

Wreck of «Sevastopol» is the most popular and interesting place for diving. This boat with a length of about 60 m,  was used for some research during the 70s, and then was flooded near the coast near the landing stage. When diving, try to find a large propeller. Maximum depth up to 12 m. Penetration is not permitted for safety reasons.

Barges discovered in the Nikon Bay of Valaam Island. Used for transportation of various cargoes. As well as granite. The wooden deck and some other parts are perfectly preserved, as well as powerful rivets and an anchor chain.

Ss Sergius — a small boat, about 20m long, built in 1890. Once he transported passengers and small cargo. It is perfectly preserved and easily accessible for inspection without penetration. On the boat there was a fire from a bomb during the Finnish war in 1939, but the wooden parts were hardly affected due to the rapid flooding of the ship. At the stern you will find a  basket, incomprehensible of destination

Some dives will take place along the stunning granite walls of the islands of Putsaari, Divny, Mustasaari and some others.

You are waiting for stunning sunsets and sunrises, cold clear water the color of dark amber, interesting stories from the past of the islands, the silence and tranquility of the unique Ladoga shores.

Our safari is designed primarily for divers. Every day we will make 1-3 dives (optional). The program is suitable for both beginners and experienced divers.

Since the water temperature does not exceed 5-6 ° C, we strongly recommend diving in dry suits. If you wish, during our trip you can get training on PADI Dry Suit Diver and PADI AOWD.

We also prepared an interesting program for those who do not dive or relax after diving. You have a unique opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful and inaccessible for ordinary travelers of the island, to visit the monastery of about. Valaam, taste the barbecue cooked on your own and of course enjoy the views of Karelian nature.

In a word, it will be interesting to everyone: diving and not diving, and adults and children.

We wish you a good rest, interesting and safe diving!
