Nile Cruise

Egypt Nile Cruise is the most fascinating tourist route for history buffs and those who want to see a different Egypt, different from the shores of the Red Sea. The Nile is the great, giving life and taking it away. Immerse yourself in history and imagine yourself in the place of Caesar and Cleopatra, who once also sailed along these waters. You will see cities and temples built around 2700 BC. You will find a rich excursion program to the most significant and beautiful places in Egypt.

Our route can be from Luxor to Aswan or from Aswan to Luxor, depending on the parking lot of the ship, to which a comfortable bus will deliver you from Hurghada.

Below is a cruise from Aswan to Luxor.

The first day . Aswan

We arrive in the city of Aswan — very ancient. It is located on the east coast of the Nile, on the border of Upper Egypt and Nubia. You will be shown the Unfinished Obelisk, which in ancient centuries began to be created in local quarries.

Aswan Dam. Huge platinum appeared south of the city, dividing the Nile in half. On the one hand — the largest artificial lake in the world Nasser, and on the other hand — the majestic Nile. Here begins our Nile cruise excursion program.

You will be taken to the observation deck of the dam from where you can admire the picturesque Lake Nasser. In memory of the Soviet-Egyptian friendship, a huge monument was erected here — a stone lotus, 75 m high.

Unfinished obelisk. This is the largest Obelisk that was ever built by man during the reign of the amazing Queen Hatshepsut to complement the Lateran Obelisk, which was originally in Karnak, but, unfortunately, it was hacked. It is about 137 feet «42 meters» and is estimated to weigh 1,200 tons.

Temple of Filet. Now you have a chance to visit this wonderful temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, the goddess of love and beauty. It has a beautiful shape with a great heritage, so UNESCO moved it to the island of Agilikia to save it from flooding.

Next, we are accommodated on our ferry, have dinner and spend the night.

Second day.

Before Sunrise we will start our trip to the lake Nesser.

Abu Simbel Temple.

Abu Simbel is a small town located 280 km south of Aswan on the territory of Nubia. The great creation for the glory of Ramses 2 (large temple) and his wife Nefertari (small temple). A rock of fine-grained sandstone that extends almost to the river itself and is 100 meters high is called a “sacred mountain” in hieroglyphic inscriptions.

In 1964-1968, due to the construction of Dam, the temple was moved 65m higher and 200m further from the river. The transfer of the monuments of Abu Simbel is considered one of the largest engineering and archaeological operations.

After returning to the ferry, we will start our cruise on the majestic Nile. In the afternoon, we will go to Kom Ombo, where we will get acquainted with another unique temple. It has an unusual double structure, one of which is dedicated to Horus (to the god — falcon); the other half is Sobeku (the crocodile god). The fate of this temple is not simple. Part of it was destroyed by the waters of the Nile and the Earthquake. And under a layer of sand around the temple itself lies the oldest of the cities of Egypt. Here is one of the oldest wells in Egypt. It was in such wells that the priests measured the level of the flood of Egypt and predicted what the year would be. And do not forget to see the mummies of ancient crocodiles!

Next stop on our way will be the island and the city of Edfu where we will stop overnight. In the evening you will be shown a national show in which you can participate, dressed up in national Egyptian clothes.

Third Day

We will visit the great temple of Horus, erected in honor of the god Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis. Initially, Horus (Khor) was considered the god of the sky, whose eyes were the Sun and the Moon. The temple was laid

Ptolemy 3 Evergent in 237 BC and the construction was completed only after 180 years. The temple is perfectly preserved. This is an impressive complex in size, which is inferior only to the Karnak Temple.

After lunch, you can enjoy the  sun on the upper deck, watching the Nile shores peacefully sailing past. Irrigation systems are arranged almost the same as in those ancient times. And the Nile still fills his coast with life. On this day, we must go through the gateways near the city of Esna. It is located on the west bank of the Nile between Kena and Aswan. Outside the city, there is an old platinum built in 1906. At present, a highway passes through it.For passage of ships, locks were built to keep the difference in the height of the water level. An unforgettable sight awaits you. Before sunset, we will be in Luxor.

Day four. Karnak and Valley of Kings

We will start after breakfest with Amasing tample of Karnak.  Then we will have a trip to the west bank of the Nile. Here, in a valley among the mountains, lies the «City of the Dead.» You will visit the famous Colossi of Memnon, left from the ancient temple, visit the Valley of the Kings and the unusual temple of Queen Hatshepsut — the Pharaoh woman. The story of her life and works for the benefit of Egypt is forever imprinted in stone and frescoes.

After returning from the tour. We are waiting for a short rest, lunch and return to Hurghada.

Our program is suitable for all travel lovers. Comfortable ferry, hot sun and amazing views of the banks of the Nile and its treasures will not leave you indifferent. And on board you are waiting for fun show programs, swimming pools and excellent cuisine!
